About Me

First Descents is committed to curing young adults of the emotional effects of cancer and empowering them to regain control of their lives by experiencing outdoor adventure therapy through kayaking, rock climbing and other outdoor adventure sports.

My name is Lisa Weston and I am a mother of 5 children.  I decided to run for a purpose and not just for fun!  I think it's important for cancer patients and survivors to have a quality of life!  I believe this organization is doing something wonderful for these young adults.  It may or may not be possible for some of you to commit to this run however, any monetary contribution to this event is a way for you to take part in this run with me.  Lets commit to helping these young adults together!!
