About Me

Please help me reach my goal is to raise $2,000 to send two first time young adult cancer survivors to First Descents (FD).  Pay it forward! FD is all about embracing life and making connections with other cancer survivors. 

FD allows us to know that we are not alone and that we are loved.  FD provides the avenue - kayaking whitewater, rockclimbing, and surfing - to challenge ourselves, to regain our strength, confidence, identity, and to LIVE!  FD teaches us to not be defined or limited by having cancer.  FD pushes us to create a life worth living.

FD creates a positive environment where young adult cancer survivors can push our boundaries, get past our fears, and start to make long term life goals.  I have grown as a person though my FD experiences and I have made friends for life.  I truly think about FD everyday!
